B&Bs in Wales

Bed & Breakfast is the most common accommodation type within the UK. The way it works is simple: rooms for rent in private homes, where breakfast is included.

Most of the time, B&Bs use to have 3 or 4 bedrooms, a small size which facilitates exchange with the hosts who often give you very good recommendations to visit the region. If you want to meet Welsh people, this is definitely the type of accommodation you will like! Comfort varies with price but in general there is no bad surprise.

Breakfast is plentiful and often even eliminates the need for lunch! All B&Bs offer delicious English breakfast with eggs, bacon, cereal, toast and baked beans. Few B&Bs offer vegetarian breakfast and, more rarely, continental breakfast.

Cheap price in welsh B&Bs

Regarding the price, count £15 to £30 per person depending on the level of service, location (cities are more expensive) and the season. Single travelers will pay a bit more and may even have trouble finding a room in high season. Particularity of Wales, some farmhouses also offer rooms: they are often far from cities, in the countryside, but your host will always give you a warm welcome. Finally, guesthouses B&B are bigger, more comfortable and therefore a bit more expensive.

During low peak season, you will have no problem to find free rooms. However, be careful to exceptional events, such as rugby in Cardiff!
