The “Ippocastano” is an old cottage located at the foot of the pleasant hill of Cortona in a unique area, rich in Etruscan history. Thanks to its fine position, you can visit some of the most important art cities of Tuscany (Cortona, Arezzo, Siena, Florence, Montalcino, etc.). You can find the Ippocastano on the route "vino terre di Arezzo" L`Ippocastano cottage gave hospitality in 2002 to "UNDER THE TUSCAN SUN" FILM`S teams, inspirated to the homonymous Francis Mayes'book. The city of Cortona is situated within the beautiful countryside of the Valdichiana. The cottage is the result of long and accurate works of restorations. Parfume of sweet flowers is the frame of a swimming pool (available from Mach to September) surrounded by a radiant garden fitted with garden furniture. The Ippocastano is a paradise near all comforts (railway station, buses, shop and motorways) which offers to tourists a fantastic holiday!
